Larry Dubitsky
Larry Dubitsky is a watercolorist, a teacher, a husband, father and grandfather. He brings rich life experience to his work. He paints from his studio in Pembroke Pines, Florida, but he loves going on location to photograph and sketch.
Larry taught art in New York for 25 years and now teaches at the Elders Institute at Florida International University. His passion is art history. For the past few years he has been researching the nature of visual communication. He is convinced that human beings have an innate visual syntax that helps them process visual information. This syntax is similar to that proposed by linguist Noam Chomsky concerning the human ability to process grammatical information.
As a student of metaphysics and spiritual disciplines, he has studied and taught A Course in Miracles since 1976. He sometimes co-teaches the Course with his wife, psychologist, Susan Dubitsky. They live in Pembroke Pines, Florida with their two cats, Barney and Ginger.
