Carol Garvin

Coconut Grove watercolorist, Carol Garvin, lives in Coconut Grove, Florida with her two dogs, Gator and Coyote. Captivated by the allure of tropics, her watercolors are awash with sunlight and rich color. They depict secluded lagoons, quaint cottages and rustling palms. "To me, it's not necessary to travel great distances to find charming subjects. The desire to create comes not from a beautiful view, but from within."

Carol is the youngest artist ever nominated to the Florida Artist Hall of Fame. Her work is on permanent exhibition in the Cayman Island National Museum in Grand Cayman.
