We're very excited to present the second issue of Art's New View. In this issue, we profile artists from Art Miami '96 held in the Miami Beach Convention Center in early January. Art Miami is one of the major international art shows with participants from the U.S., Europe, Latin America and the Orient. We talked with some exciting, young contemporary artists and we're happy to share them with you.

We participated as the first online arts magazine at Art Americas March 1-4, 1996 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. This exciting arts fair is in its second year exhibiting a wide variety of Latin American, European and American artists. Art Americas is artist-oriented rather than galleries only, which presents the opportunity to develop a real relationship between the artist and the collector when they can talk one on one about individual works of art.

New to Art's New View this issue is "Reviews" with Jamaica Kincaid's new book, An Autobiography of My Mother, and a review of Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman with Hal Holbrook now touring the U.S.

Continuing our tradition (in-the-making since this is just our second issue!) we have "Online Art Class with Larry Dubitsky talking about design; and our "Galleries" section is expanded and will continue to grow monthly.

On a personal note, it was an exhilarating experience calling up the first issue of Art's New View on my screen and sending the address out to friends and family around the country so they could see it. Then, of course, reality set in and the second issue was upon us! That's the thing about magazines -- there's always a deadline and there's always material to select. Which leads me to this ... arts reviews (theatre, books, music, dance), interviews, articles, releases, poetry and fiction submitted will all be reviewed for possible publication. Please include a SASE for any materials to be returned. Submissions can be made by E-mail, fax or hard mail. It’s appreciated if submissions are on 3.5" disks in ASCII, Word Perfect, Word or Windows Notepad format.

We await your reaction to Art's New View. Your letters will all be read and we will respond to as many as possible, publish a few, and thank all of you for taking the time to give us your views.
