Hervé Petit lives near Versailles in France with his wife and three children. A first look at his paintings shows the beauty of the sky, an always recognizable feature of the artist's work, and the whimsy of the floating landscapes. A lingering look reveals his preoccupation with the human condition. They depict what mankind will leave on the planet -- architecture and literature. He uses graffiti to illustrate what's going on around the world.
