The Internet has made the world a small place where art from any remote corner can be seen everywhere. Some enterprising Russian artists created a CD of their work and approached different art sites on the Web to help them promote their art. This is a sampling of the work.

Yuri Ivanovich Volkov was born in 1941 in Alexandrovsk, Sakhalin. He studied art in Vladivostok and a member of the Russian artists' union since 1973. His work is shown in Russia and in private collections abroad.


Veniamin Alexeevich Goncharenko was born in 1929 and taught at the Far Eastern Institute of Arts. The Honored Artist of Russia, he is a member of the Russian artists’ union since 1962. He works in the genre of thematic picture, portrait, landscape and still life. The artist’s paintings are exhibited in the art galleries and museums of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vladivostok and aboard in the USA, Great Britain, Japan, China, Korea, Australia.

Kim Petrovich Koval was born in Ussuriisk. He was named The Honored Painter of Russia in both 1968 and 1980. He participated in art exhibitions in Russia and aboard. The artist's paintings belong to the art galleries and museums of Russia. Some of them were bought by Culture Ministry of Russia and the fund of Russia. His work is also in galleries and private collections in the USA, France, Japan, Korea, Canada, Australia, Spain, Germany, Liven.

George Semenovich Kochubey, was born August 5, 1946 in Krivoy Rog, the Ukraine. In 1974, he graduated from the Far Eastern Institute of Arts. He has participated in numerous exhibitions and is a member of the Russian artists' Union. Some of his paintings belong to the art gallery of Primorye, the Far Eastern art Museum, the art museum of Chita, and many private collections in the USA, France, Japan, Southern Korea.

Ivan Vasilievich Rybachuck was born in June 25, 1921 in the village Zbarge, the Ukraine. Since 1940 he has lived and worked in Vladivostok. From 1940-1947 he served in the Navy of the USSR. From 1943-1947 he was an instructor in the Navy artists' school. Since 1950 he has been an active participant of numerous city, regional, zone, republican and national art exhibitions.

Olga Kimovna Nikitchick was born in 1955 in Ussuriisk. She has been a member of the Russian Artists' Union since 1982. In 1980, she graduated from the Far Eastern Institute of Arts. Working in the genre of thematic pictures, landscapes and still life, she has taken part in more than 50 art exhibitions in Russia, Japan, Korea, China, Singapore, Taiwan, Sweden and the USA.

Ivan Terenttyevich Nikitchik was born in 1953 in Muravyevka, Amursky region. He began art training in 1968 at Art and Graphic Department of The Teachers' Training College, Blagoveschensk. From 1974 to 1980, he studied at The Far Eastern Institute of Arts. Painting Department. He has been a member of the Russian artists' Union since 1982 and has exhibited in Russia, China, Japan, Taivan and Singapore.

Vladimir Artemyevich Serov was born in 1938 in Kremovo, Primorsky region. From 1957 to 1962, he attended the Art School, Vladivostok. From 1962 to 1964, he studied at the Far Eastern Institute of Arts. In 1970, he was admitted into the Russian artists' Union. He lives and works in Ussuriisk.

Alexander Vasilievich Tkachenko was born in 1931 in Vladivostok. He graduated from the Ussuriisk military artists' school in 1950 and has been a member of the Russian Artists' Union since 1967.

Victor Georgeevich Ubiraev was born in 1949 in Vladivostok. He graduated from the art school, Vladivostok where he attended from 1971-1974, exhibiting from 1973. In 1980, he began work as a graphic designer and has designed the layout of more than 30 books. Some of his paintings belong to the art gallery of Primorye, the art museum of Chita, and many private collectons in Russia, Spain, Korea and Slovakiya. He paints in watercolor, pastel and oils.

Kirill Ivanovich Shebeko has been named The Honored Painter of Russia, The Honored Artist of Russia. A member of the Russian Academy of Arts, Shebeko was born in May 20, 1920 in village Tzimmermanovka, Khabarovsky region. He attended the art school in Blagoveschensk, 1940, the Repin's Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture (Leningrad), 1950 and has been a member of the Russian artists' Union since 1951. He has exhibited in Russia, Yugoslavia, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, Germany, India, Japan. Shebeko's paintings hang in the State Tretyakov Gallery, Art Foundation of the USSR and Russia, Culture Ministry of USSR and Russia, the art galleries and museums of Vladivostok, Komsomolsk-na-Amure, Yugno-Sakhalinsk, Kholmsk, Khabarovsk, Chita, Penza, etc., and private collections of Russia and abroad.
